Glen Echo Park in Maryland is one of my most favorite shooting spots for outdoor photo sessions and I usually recommend it to families with babies, toddlers/young children! It is conveniently located off the beltway and close to residents of Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. There is a park-like area great for “nature” shots, a playground (so fun for kids and for your photographer to capture fun candid action shots) and a bunch of fun, colorful structures. Glen Echo also boasts several really fun and great “setups” for photos. I love using these colorful red doors, in combination with concrete, wood and brick textures as backgrounds for family portraits:
